Live

The New River Gorge region provides a low-stress environment for you, your family, and your company.  Our charming communities and small- to mid-size towns offer some of the most affordable cost of living comparisons in the eastern United States.  The extensive regional transportation infrastructure offers ease of access to the urban centers of Charlotte, Columbus, Pittsburgh, and Richmond but “gridlock” and miles of traffic backups are thankfully not part of our daily commutes.  This historic and exceptionally scenic region of the Mountain State has long been known for its hardworking people who share a commitment to their communities and a love for living amidst the natural beauty of the Appalachian Mountains.

Play

Within a days drive of most major East Coast metropolitan centers lies the New River Gorge region of West Virginia, a national treasure for outdoor recreation. World class whitewater roars down the New and Gauley Rivers, sheer sandstone cliffs line the rim of the New River Canyon beckoning intrepid rock climbers. Small-mouth bass, bluegill, trout, catfish and walleye populate our rivers and lakes. Miles of forested state and national park trails service both hikers and mountain bikers.  Many are choosing to not only PLAY in nature’s playground, but to work and live here as well.
