Southern Community Network Meeting at Tamarack Feb. 23 Kicks Off Project Development for Federal Rural Partnership Network Support

Thursday’s first in-person meeting of the Southern West Virginia Community Network at Tamarack will feature 150 representatives of local and regional government leaders focused on discussing and developing infrastructure, economic, workforce, and housing development projects in 12 southern rural communities with support and guidance from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).

The Project Manager will work with the WV Hive Executive Director, along with the WV Hive team to perform high-level professional work related to the support of NRGRDA entrepreneurship initiatives, and primarily in relation to the work on the Community and Business Resilience Initiative (CBRI) project associated with the ACT Now Coalition Build Back Better USEDA Regional Challenge.

Country Roads Angel Network (CRAN) will host its annual meeting starting at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, at the Robert H. Mollohan Research Center at the West Virginia High Technology Park in Fairmont. Highlights include a keynote address by Brandon Dennison, CEO of Coalfield Development Corporation and architect of the Appalachian Climate Technology (ACT) Now Coalition, as well as three investment opportunity pitches from West Virginia entrepreneurs.
