Projects receiving technical assistance must be implemented in at least one of the four counties of the New River Gorge region (Raleigh, Fayette, Nicholas, Summers). Consideration for projects falling both in and outside the NRG region will be accepted. While projects may include multiple partners, a lead applicant should be identified and submit only one application per project. Projects must fit within an NRG Working Group infrastructure priority listed below, or be submitted for approval.
Eligible applicants are legally established non-profit organizations (recognized by the IRS) and public or governmental organizations including county and municipal governments, state agencies, and public educational institutions.
All organizations must demonstrate the administrative and fiscal capacity to manage awarded funding and complete the project in compliance with the agreement. Organizations are encouraged to partner on applications to ensure adequate staff and administrative capacity. Each applicant is eligible to receive TA funding for no more than three projects.
Organizations eligible for Technical Assistance Fund awards are legally established non-profit organizations and institutions (recognized by the IRS) and public and governmental organizations including county and municipal governments, state agencies, and educational institutions, including public and private not-for-profit schools.
