Beckley, W.Va. (September 23, 2025) – The New River Gorge Regional Development Authority (NRGRDA) is encouraging local residents to explore partner with the new Amazon in Beaver, WV to become Delivery Service Partner (DSP).
Jina Belcher, Executive Director of NRGRDA, said the company is invested in having West Virginia entrepreneurs benefit from Amazon’s comprehensive support mechanisms. “Amazon is offering training, a business coach, and deals on vans, uniforms, and insurance to get local people started,” she emphasized. “Each Delivery Service Partner who serves the Beckley facility has the potential to create 40 – 100 jobs and significantly strengthen our local economy.”
Tiffany Henderson, of Amazon, is the company’s dedicated West Virgina DSP business development partner. Belcher said Henderson can be contacted and information is posted at https://bit.ly/m/TiffanyHenderson.
“Amazon is looking for local folks to start and run their own package delivery businesses,” said Belcher. “Owners hire a team, manage a fleet of vans, and help get packages to doorsteps across the region. It is my understanding that startup costs can be as low as $10,000, and once the business is up and running, owners can see $1 million to $4.5 million in revenue and $75,000 to $300,000 in profits a year.”
Henderson’s site outlines: “The Amazon Delivery Service Partner program provides an opportunity for strong leaders who are passionate about starting their own business and developing high-performing, safety-focused teams. Joining a robust community of small businesses, you will help deliver thousands of packages to customers throughout the year. If you’re a customer-obsessed, hands-on leader who thrives in a high-speed, ever-changing environment, launching an Amazon Delivery Service Partner business may be the opportunity for you. As a DSP owner, you’ll focus on building a successful, safety-first work culture that includes recruitment, hiring, and coaching a team of high-performing, hourly employees and managing a fleet of delivery vehicles throughout the year. Amazon will support you by providing a dedicated business coach and access to value-added services, such as uniforms and vehicle insurance, to help you run your business efficiently. With the right staffing and operational plan that allows you to adapt to demand throughout the year, you’ll be set up to run a business that delivers the best experience for our customers.”
