Governor Jim Justice Announces Appalachian Regional Commission Grant for Raleigh County Memorial Airport Industrial Park Site Preparation Project

We have even more exciting news regarding grant funds for our region! Today, West Virginia Governor Jim Justice awarded $1,750,000 in funds from the WV Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) program to benefit site development for the Raleigh County Memorial Airport Industrial Park Site Preparation Project. This initial investment will be used to leverage additional funds for the $8.4M site development project.

This grant is extremely exciting for us and our region as it is the first publicly announced, committed investment for the Airport Industrial Park Site Preparation Project. These funds will make it possible for the expansion of the existing industrial park at the Raleigh County Memorial Airport, creating 105 acres of pad ready sites for businesses to plant their roots in our region of West Virginia. We’re hoping that this grant will help us diversify our economy and attract the emerging Aerospace industry to the New River Gorge region!

We appreciate the state of West Virginia’s support and the Appalachian Regional Commission’s investment in this project. If you have any questions about this grant or the Raleigh County Memorial Airport Industrial Park Site Preparation Project, please reach out to us!
