Fayette County Dilapidated Buildings Survey

Improving Community Infrastructure, One Building at a Time

Fayette County, in partnership with the New River Gorge Regional Development Authority (NRGRDA), is launching a county-wide survey to identify dilapidated and abandoned buildings. This effort is part of our ongoing commitment to community revitalization and infrastructure improvement across the region. 

Why Your Participation Matters

  • Blighted buildings not only pose safety risks, but they also hinder economic growth and diminish the quality of life in our communities. Your input will help us create a comprehensive plan to address these properties, contributing to the long-term development of Fayette County.

How the Survey Works

  • We need help identifying structures that are no longer in use or have fallen into disrepair. By taking part in this survey, you provide valuable information that will be used to prioritize efforts for property rehabilitation or removal.

Survey Questions Include: 

  • Location of the building 
  • Visible condition (e.g., broken windows, structural damage) 
  • Any known historical details or previous ownership information
