The New River Gorge Regional Development Authority manages an ongoing and robust existing business development program. This includes maintaining and growing our internal loan program in addition to helping businesses leverage existing finances to expand their capacity for growth. We conduct regular existing business visits with regional employers to make sure that they have access to all the resources and partners they need to continue to thrive within the region. We’ve crafted programs with partnering development organizations and educational institutions so that we can respond rapidly to the needs expressed in these meetings.
The New River Gorge Regional Development Authority assists companies, consultants, and site selectors in finding the perfect arrangement of resources to help each company thrive in the region. This involves everything from location selection and negotiation, to construction and design processes, financing arrangements, incentive negotiations, permitting navigation, workforce training and access, general project management, supplier partnerships, technical business assistance, and regional marketing advisement.
The New River Gorge Regional Development Authority partners with the WV Hive to provide a full-time business coach for regional businesses to call upon for technical assistance in all areas of start-up and business operations. We also have a dedicated staff member to assist businesses with gaining access to the capital they need to get started or expand operations. Our local partners help to design and implement a number of youth and continuing entrepreneur education programs so that those starting their businesses within the region will do so with the greatest advantages possible.
