HOUSING NEEDS ASSESSMENT - NEW RIVER GORGE

Join Us in Creating a Plan for Our Community’s Housing Needs

The New River Gorge Regional Development Authority (NRGRDA) has launched a Housing Needs Assessment initiative to identify the region’s housing challenges and opportunities. We’re working with community members, stakeholders, and experts to create a comprehensive, data-driven plan to address these needs. Your input is essential in helping us develop housing solutions that will benefit all who live and work in the New River Gorge region.

COMPREHENSIVE PLANS

The Comprehensive Plan is a crucial tool in planning for a community’s economic sustainability in West Virginia.

Wes Virginia Code Chapter 8A establishes guidelines for municipal and county-wide Comprehensive Planning. The purpose of a Comprehensive Plan “is to guide a governing body to accomplish a coordinated and compatible development of land and improvements within its territorial jurisdiction, in accordance with present and future needs and resources.”
