Our annual Regional Development Summit was hosted on October 12th, 2017 at the Tamarack Conference Center in Beckley, WV. We welcomed almost 100 community members, government officials, organizational partners, and development leaders from around the state. Our co-host, West Virginia University, presented the New River Gorge regional economic outlook as well as the West Virginia state economic outlook. Both were improved from recent years past and provided unique insight into which industries and regions could expect more growth or contraction in the years to come.
The New River Gorge Regional Development Authority had the pleasure of reviewing services and resources provided through the West Virginia HIVE Network as well as their recently published Capital Access Guide. Speakers included Community Development Agents, Active Southern West Virginia Director, Existing Business Retention and Expansion Director, and Chief Communications Officer.
