Now Hiring: Office Manager

Mission

The mission of the New River Gorge Regional Development Authority (NRGRDA) is to initiate, and support the community and economic development efforts within the counties of Fayette, Nicholas, Raleigh, and Summers located in the New River Gorge region of West Virginia.

The Office Manager is a part-time position and will have primary responsibility for organizing the administrative flow of work to ensure that the NRGRDA offices operate efficiently and effectively. This position requires self-initiative and strong organizational skills and requires the utmost cooperation and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Office management including answering phones, greeting visitors, sorting and distributing mail, maintain filing and contact management systems, purchase required supplies, and other duties as required;
  • Coordination of NRGRDA board matters including organizing meetings, agendas, notices pursuant to open meeting law and catering for events as needed; maintaining board member contact information, committees, term dates; coordinating e-votes, resolutions, and organizing board records;
  • Coordination of Safety Committee meetings, conduct safety training at quarterly staff meetings and coordinating annual BRIM reviews;
  • Assist with collection and maintenance of facility and site inventories to assure accuracy of information used in marketing available sites, industrial parks and buildings;
  • Manage the Rahall Technology Building including collection of rents, and overseeing HVAC, grounds and facilities maintenance;
  • Oversee maintenance of office equipment, technology hardware and software, and coordinate needed services with IT contractors;
  • Assisting in preparation of prospect/marketing packages as needed;
  • Coordinate preparation and submission of the annual LED grant application;
  • Coordinate preparation and submission of the tri-annual CDC recertification process;
  • Coordinate conference registration, hotel and travel arrangements, and obtain reimbursements as needed;
  • Assist with coordination, scheduling, and reporting on existing business visits as needed;
  • Assist with coordination and planning of regional and local events;
  • Assist Executive Director, Deputy Director and other NRGRDA staff as needed and perform other duties as assigned;

 

Experience Desired

  • At least, 3-5 years of office administration experience desired

  • Strong communication skills, including verbal, written, and public speaking;

  • Proficiency in Microsoft: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

 

Schedule Desired

  • Monday – Thursday, 8:30-3:00

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary $22,000-24,000 based on experience and qualifications
  • Other benefits include: travel reimbursement and vacation and sick leave
