Young Professionals Organize for the NRG
The next generation of leaders is here and motivated to make the NRG a region where more young professionals choose to stay. Young professionals of Raleigh, Fayette, Summers, and Nicholas are coming together under the guidance of Generation West Virginia to launch Generation New River Gorge (GenNRG). This new Generation chapter will work to establish a network of young professionals aged 18 – 45 to serve as a source of action and innovation for the New River Gorge region of West Virginia.
This chapter was established in April 2015 and has identified a leadership structure to address the primary concerns of young professionals in the NRG region. These professionals serve as GenNRG’s 2015 Board of Directors:
GenNRG will host its first gathering on June 4th, to introduce chapter leadership, present committees, network, and provide opportunities for young professionals to get involved. This event will be held at Pies & Pints from 6 – 8 p.m. Everyone is invited and encouraged to bring their friends. This will be the chapter’s first opportunity to engage the young talent living in the NRG, and begin making progress on the initiatives defined in their 2015 committee structure (attached).
GenNRG can be found on Facebook (/GenNRG) and on LinkedIn (Generation New River Gorge). Details about initiatives, events, volunteer opportunities and more can be found there, or by contacting Co-President Angela Sundstrom at firstname.lastname@example.org.
